What is a Birth Doula?

A birth doula serves as an experienced guide, offering invaluable insights into childbirth and hospital policies. This guidance helps parents make well-informed decisions tailored to their family's needs. Throughout labor, I provide continuous emotional support, massage, and non-medical pain management techniques, ensuring the mother remains comfortable and focused. A birth doula also supports the partner, recognizing the unique love and understanding they bring to the birthing process. My goal is to create a peaceful and cohesive environment for the arrival of your new baby.

Birth Doula Package

The Birth Doula Package includes:

  • Prenatal Meetings: Two meetings - the first being via video call and the second in your home.

  • Birth Vision and Plan Assistance: Guidance in creating your birth plan.

  • Ongoing Support: Phone, text, and email support throughout your pregnancy. Have questions about local resources or your baby registry? I’ve got your back.

Insurance Reimbursement

As insurance coverage for doula care continues to expand, many clients are now able to submit their doula services for partial reimbursement, out-of-network maternity benefits, or application toward deductible expenses.

I provide professionally prepared superbills with applicable service codes, NPI number, and EIN to support reimbursement submissions when eligible.

Because coverage varies widely between plans, I encourage clients to contact their insurance provider directly to learn more about their specific maternity and doula care benefits.
